Railway root for new single BG line between Dahod-Indore via Sardapur, Jhabua & Dhar was defined by authorities. Micro location of tunnel lies between Tihi and Pithampur stations. The tunnel is located between CH: 24470 to CH: 27630 with length of 3.16 km. The alignment is passing through a hilly terrain nearby the Pithampur Industrial area of Dahod-Indore new B.G line. The overburden is varying from 4 m to 21 m at this location.
