Basic Features:
• Dimensions of the construction pit: 27.0 m x 44.0 m
• Temporary support measures: steel sheet piles and strut system
• Depth of construction pit H = 6.35 m
• Length of sheet piles L = 12 m
• Ground structure light clay, ground water at a depth of 1.0 m
For the construction of a new office building with 3 floors and two basement floors, we have prepared a construction pit protection plan. The final excavation is at a depth of 6.35 m. Due to the relatively soft soil (soft clay) and the high groundwater level (1 m below ground level), we have selected steel sheet piles with struts above the level of the 1st basement slab for the construction pit protection system.
